Of Dreams and Crossroads
My local writer's group produces this anthology and it features one of my stories: Of Dreams and Crossroads. Every story is set in a different Kansas City landmark. When I think of romance, there is no location more romantic than Union Station!
The story is set during Christmas time in 1945. Edward Lynch is a soldier coming home from war, but what is home, when everyone you know is gone? Lucille Puckett slathered her walls with glamorous photographs for the Hollywood stars. Now is her chance to live her dream and hop on a train, but she can't help but wonder about the man asleep on the bench next to her.
This sweet love story highlights the beauty and history of this magnificent building and introduces the romance of train travel during the 1940s.
